Anti-Bribery & Corruption Workshop

Introduction

Anti-Bribery and Corruption policies are governed by the UK Bribery Act 2010 (the Act) that came into force on 1st July 2011. The Act introduces very strict requirements for all UK firms to prevent bribery being committed anywhere in the world on their behalf and for their benefit. All UK regulated firms should have the adequate systems and controls in place to prevent the risk of bribery or corruption taking place.

The workshop will focus on what constitutes as bribery under the Bribery Act, practical measures that both individuals and companies may take to ensure compliance with the Act and what actions an individual or company may take when faced with a potential corrupt situation.
